TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

Teaching Philosophy Statement
My philosophy comes from my own personal experience as a student and teacher. I have always been interested in teaching others and in how to teach others optimally. This has guided me to actively consider the methods used by my own teachers as well as to monitor the progress of students I helped or taught My beliefs regarding teaching are constantly evolving and are sure to continue evolving as I have more experience as an academic advisor. However, up to this point in time, my beliefs center around the following general ideas: (i) the teacher should make the importance and use of the subject clear to the students (ii) the teacher should make the class fun and enjoyable for the students (iii) the students should be as involved as possible. The use of technology in modern classrooms is an excellent way to ensure these goals and enhance the experience both for the teacher and the student. I believe that the best way for a motivated individual to pick up a new subject is to have exploration and desired to know something new. However, students are able to take a trip or doing site visit and many of those are explore and learn through experience. They will understand what we had taught to them and knew the function of it. Therefore, the only chance most students have to pick up the new subject they learn in class as the basic to them to apply to the real world. They will be more appreciating the facilities or new technology. Stemming from my belief that formal instruction and immersion is together the key to new subject learning I believe that classroom instruction should focus on creating an environment as similar to immersion as possible. I believe that if a student is forced to learn something that G)he considers useless, the student will not be motivated to learn it and, as a result will be less Iikely to acquire the new knowledge. It is, therefore, the teacher's responsibility to demonstrate to the students that they are learning is indeed used and that learning it will have valuable rewards. Modern technology is ideal achieving such a goal. The use of technology can also facilitate the teacher's job of making the class enjoyable for the students as well as getting all of the students involved. Using videos which shows the new technology related with the subject will be good ways to make the classroom environment enjoyable. This is important, because I believe that if a students bored and disinterested in a class, (s)he is more likely to daydream, not pay attention, and even not care such a student probably less likely to learn and acquire the new knowledge, It is also important for the teacher to create a communicative environment in which all the students can participate and be involved in active communication. This is my philosophy that there are specific goals for the teaching to keep in mind and that using modern technology in the classroom is a superb way to facilitate the achievement of these goals. My beliefs as well as the aspects of teaching that I hold in highest regard are liable to evolve as I gain more teaching experience and discover for myself all of the possibilities of modern technology that are unknown to me at this time. As I learn new things, I expect constantly modify my teaching methods in a- search of the most optimal way to help students acquire something new. My teaching in UiTM will give me the opportunity to start on this, andI will continue this process on into my further career in academia.

TEACHING GOALS

Teaching Goals Statement
Teaching is a challenging career where patient and wisdom are highly required in order to achieve the goals along the process of teaching and learning. My goals in teaching and learning process are: i) make a student to appreciate a knowledge that they learn in the class. By appreciating it, they will realize the importance of specific knowledge in developing their daily life. By that, they will eager to learn more and indirectly increasing their curiosity in something. ii) help the student to understand in every topic embedded in the course in easy way. Therefore, it is important for me to find the specific approaches for each topic in order to deliver knowledge to student. The different approaches are very important to tackle the different topics that comprise of different level of difficulty each other.
