Teaching Philosophy Statement |
Education is the most powerful weapon. We can use to change the world. Nelson Mandela By holding principles like above, it is big task for me to equip my students with knowledge that they will uphold and remember throughout their studies and beyond. If they can use it wisely, they can overcome any obstacle laid in front of them. For me, I’ve been tasked to teach mostly year 1 students in Degree. It is important to teach the students basics things so that they can use and expand it to the years to come. If I taught them wrongly form Year 1, then they might face problem especially in Final Year Project. My method of teaching varies from teaching one subject to another. For an example, for design course I’ll try to arrange a site visit so that the students has a real life experience on what they had been doing in class (theoretical). However, for analysis and finite element method, I’ll show them on how the forces they calculated had an effect on a real structure through simulation. So I’ll choose which method suitable according to my subject teaching for that semester. |
Teaching Goals Statement |
Education is a most important aspect in human resources growth and nation development. As an educator, I need to prepare students with the fundamental tools and skills necessary, so they will be able to successfully graduate and continue seeking knowledge to improve their lives, society and nation in general. I will share my knowledge that I have learned along the way and encourage my students to realize their dreams. I do that by getting to know their learning style. I hope that they will study in a good environment. In short, I want to produce high quality students, which is able to contribute to their nation and the world. |
