TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

Teaching Philosophy Statement
Entering to the world of educations, I realized that there are a lot of new things that I need to learn and understand. From my opinion, the teaching world today slightly different than what I expected being a student. Since I’m graduated from UiTM Penang, I’m familiar with the campus surrounding environment, student learning method, and some lecturers teaching method. However, this doesn’t really give me a real picture on how is the life of an academician.
Teaching is my passionate, since in degree level. I’ve started to have a group discussion where each of us responsible to teach others. My teaching philosophy is to ensure that the students I teach will understand, enjoy the learning process and know how to apply the knowledge in life.
My objective of teaching is to give knowledge to the students with a strong engineering fundamental. With deep and clear fundamentals, it is sure that the students will be able to step to another level of education smoothly.
Other than the theoretical aspect, the student should be link with the industrial sector. In the other word, it is vital for student to be approached with industrial visit, sharing experience with professional engineers, industrial attachment and collaboration.
In directly, the students will be able to familiarize with the real world of work out there and substantially develop their leadership, team work and communication skills. Today, the world is moving very fast, that make the technology is always in updated version. Thus, it’s a recommendation to the students to enhance their IT skill as well the using of English language in daily life.
The use of English language is vital in gaining information of technology in Civil Engineering via internets, books, and other’s resources. Furthermore, student will be more understand and learn quick if they excel in English as the computer software related with Civil Engineering or others most of them are using English language.
As a conclusion, the used of right teaching tools, strong fundamentals, updated knowledge, know where to apply the knowledge and by conducting research and development, it is hope that I can contribute in producing the best quality of Civil Engineering graduates in UiTMPP that can compete with others world class universities.

Teaching Goals Statement
i. To conduct lecture and tutorial on Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulics to Civil Engineering Diploma Program (EC110) students.
ii. To provide guidance and assistance when students seek for consultation and clarification in the respective subjects.
iii. To give fair assessment to the students according to their effort.
iv. To support and motivate students to enjoy the learning process and excel in every aspect of life.
